Wild day in the Steel City. After weeks of back and forth negotiations involving the Oakland Raiders and the Pittsburgh Steelers, an agreement has been made.
Local 12 news caught up with GM Kahrs for a quick interview. “First, I want to thank the Oakland Raiders and their GM Rinku for making this deal happen. People will question trading Jordan Howard and that’s their right. He is young, cheap, and had a fantastic rookie year. I don’t feel he will have the same success in 2017 and I sold high. I have shown a propensity of dealing anyone on our roster if I think it will help this football win. Carlos Dunlap adds to our already fantastic defensive unit for 2017. I feel Wendell Smallwood will show signs of life when given the opportunity and this years rookie draft is loaded with top quality talent. My answer to the doubters of the Pittsburgh Steelers is to wait and see. We had a 6 win improvement this season, my first here. We expect a championship in 2017.
